Taylor Hinton is a certified Precision Nutrition Coach.
Since the young age of four, Taylor has always had a fitness oriented lifestyle by playing sports and being coached by his father in strength training. As early as 11 years old, Taylor began working with personal trainers, learning compound exercises such as back squats, deadlifts, and bench press.
Taylor continued to develop his skills as a young athlete with training regime’s dedicated towards improving power, strength and speed. Under the direction of Kim and Matt Chapdelaine, he gained invaluable experience in the realm of speed and agility all with the promise of bettering his chances at the next level in his aspirations of a professional football career.
At just 19 years old, Taylor’s plans came to a sudden and abrupt halt. In the summer of 2015 while preparing for a second season with the CJFL Langley Rams, he encumbered a career-ending spinal injury.
“If you suit up again and get hit just right, you could be paralyzed for life”.
Those words from his doctor hit hard and put an end to his football dreams. With a lack of direction, but the same, if not more motivation than before, Taylor turned his focus once again to his fitness. His lingering injury slashed his encyclopedia of exercises to rigid, machine based and mono-directional movements. After some research, Taylor designed a muscle building hypertrophic regime.
Soon Taylor was greeted by his soon-to-be bodybuilding coach, Monty. Taylor found himself under Monty’s wing preparing for his first ever bodybuilding competition. 20 weeks later following a macronutrient based meal plan and counting every gram of food, Taylor found himself receiving first place at the BCABBA Kelowna Classic.
Bodybuilding opened up the world of nutrition and the science behind food and performance which led him to Precision Nutrition.
Now as a Certified Nutrition Coach, and his experience in performance and aesthetic fitness, Taylor aims to share what he knows with like-minded individuals who desire to reach their potential.
Taylor aspires to to gaining his CFL1 coaching certificate and continuing to expand on his fitness and nutrition knowledge.
